Who I am
Cards by Clara is run by Clara Loughran, a sole trader based in the UK. If you have any questions about your data, email me at hello@cardsbyclara.co.uk.
What I collect
When you sign up to my email list, I collect your email address (and your first name, if you give it). When you buy or download a deck, the checkout collects your email address, your country and your payment details. If you email me, I'll also have your email address and whatever you write.
Why I collect it
To email you about the Cards by Clara deck launch, including how to claim a free copy, and to send you the occasional study tip. I only email you because you've given your consent by signing up and confirming your email address.
Buying or downloading a deck
Decks and free samples are sold and delivered through Payhip, which acts as the seller for tax purposes. Payhip uses your details to take payment, work out the right tax, send you your download link and receipt, and, about ten days later, an email asking for a review. Payments are handled by Stripe or PayPal: I never see your card details.
I use your email address from an order only to deliver what you got and to answer any questions about it. You only join my email list if you tick the box at checkout.
Who stores it
Your details are stored by Kit, the email service I use to send newsletters. Kit is based in the USA. Order details are stored by Payhip (based in the UK), and by Stripe or PayPal for payments. Emails you send me are stored by Zoho Mail. Each company have their own privacy policies explaining how they protect your data.
How long I keep it
Email list details: until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them. Order details: for as long as I need them for tax records, usually six years.
This website and the flashcard planner
The flashcard planner on cardsbyclara.co.uk works entirely in your browser. The dates, card numbers and settings you type in are never sent to me or stored anywhere.
I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits to the website and see which pages are viewed, which helps me improve it (my legitimate interest). It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you. It records things like the page you viewed, the website that sent you here, your country and your type of device.
The website is hosted by Cloudflare, and its font is loaded from Google Fonts. Like any website, these services receive your IP address when they send you the page or the font. Both have their own privacy policies.
The website doesn't use cookies.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information I hold about you by emailing hello@cardsbyclara.co.uk.
If you're unhappy with how your data has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
What I'll never do
I will never sell your details or share them with anyone else for their marketing.
